How We Started

Pet Odor Treatments

In most cases our normal carpet cleaning process may be all that is needed. In many cases, enzymes are needed to break up the odor-causing bacteria. This treatment must be applied at least two (2) days prior to cleaning. SaniCare is pleased to provide the service or you can save by borrowing the proper tools from SaniCare and applying the enzymes yourself.

In more severe cases, the urine soaks through the carpet backing into the padding and the floor beneath. In these cases, the padding must be replaced, the floor treated and sealed, the enzymes have to be applied to the carpeting and the carpet has to be cleaned on backside and top.

The Good News...

In most cases, we can guarantee to remove pet odor.

3 Odor Treatment Choices:

1. Minor Odor Treatment-

We use the best deodorizers, which are designed to be safe for people and safe your family. The enzyme is sprayed on each urine spot before cleaning to eat up the urine bacteria. This procedure will help reduce odor but is not intended on removing severe odor as this is merely treating the surface of the carpet.

2. Moderate Odor Treatment-

Water claw sub surface extraction. With this process, we saturate the spot with a special oxidizing deodorizer so the cleaning agent reaches into the padding. We then use the “water claw” sub surface extractor to pull the urine out. .

3. Major Odor Treatment-

This is a full-blown odor treatment designed to completely eliminate the odor if the pet is no longer living in the home. The carpet is pulled up and padding discarded.

Note: In most cases, we use the minor and moderate odor treatment procedures. We normally treat the more severe areas with the moderate treatment.

DIY Stain Removal

Pet Soil & Vomit

Pet soil or vomit is a complex mixture of foodstuffs, saliva, stomach acids and digestive waste products. Sometimes, this mixture can stain the pile of a carpet or leave a persistent odor. Follow the tips below to cleanup the stain, but if that doesn't do the trick, call SaniCare about our Guaranteed Pet Odor Removal.

1. Immediately pick up/blot up as much material as possible using paper towels or a clean, white cloth. A tablespoon makes a good scraper if necessary.
2. Apply vinegar solution, blot.
3. Apply detergent solution, blot.
4. Apply pressure to the spot with a spatula or the back of a tablespoon to work spotting solution deep into spot. DO NOT SCRUB as this may cause nap distortion of the fiber.

AMMONIA 1 Tbls. clear household ammonia in 1/2 cup water. Always pre-test.
DETERGENT 1-2 drops colorless, mild detergent or dishwashing liquid in 1 cup lukewarm water.
